Courage
Courage is a quality that enables one to keep going in the face of danger or opposition. It is the ability to set aside fear and move forward with firmness. A person of courage is seen as being courageous or brave and is willing to take a risk to accomplish something considered to be worthy. We can be strong and courageous because the Lord our God is with us wherever we go and in Him we have hope. He is our strength.
My Prayer
Lord, I confess that there are times when I am afraid or dismayed, times when I don’t feel adequate or capable of doing something that you have asked me to do. Lord, forgive me for my lack of faith in your provision, because you have promised me that your grace will be sufficient for me, for when I am weak and I humble myself before you, your power will be perfected within me. Lord, according to the riches of your glory strengthen me with power through your spirit in the inner man and perfect your love in me so that fear will be cast aside and replaced with courage. And when my heart is anxious may I not fret or be dismayed but wait patiently and hope in you. Lord, you have commanded me to be strong and courageous, not in my abilities but in your provision and promises. Thank you for your promise that you will not fail or forsake me, that you will be with me wherever I go to strengthen me and to uphold me with your righteous right hand.
