As I listened to this sermon I realized how great was its breadth and its depth. It is rare to hear a sermon like this today. Most sermons are topical and just skim the surface of Scripture. You don't get a chance to stop and feast on the Word to receive vital spiritual nourishment. You don't have the chance to really experience the mind of God in his thinking or know the will of his heart. As a result very few Christians in the west are taking a stand for Jesus and the gospel and as a result we experience little persecution and also have little effect on our culture. The depth of sin our country is falling into rest directly on the church. When was the last time you stood your ground against the sin around you or in your own life. I challenge you to listen to this sermon and you will understand why the Jews wanted to kill Jesus and later his followers.
