The gospel started in Jerusalem and circled the globe to the West. It has now come to China and Christians there see that it is their responsibility to take it back to Jerusalem to complete the sweep of the world. This final leg includes all of the Muslim countries in the 10/40 window where the majority of the world’s terrorist live.
Having taken that short term mission trip, I came to realize that God had uniquely prepared me to be a part of that movement. I found that I could easily tolerate the conditions of the training centers, really enjoyed their diet, and have the gifts needed to work with these students. However I needed to learn some Chinese. When I got ready to leave the students begged me to come back. When I left, I left part of my heart there with them. I seem to have no fear of being in their underground environment and I truly longed to be there and I believe that God was calling me to return. It was my desire to put together 24 lessons and go back and spend twelve days in each of two training centers, teaching two lessons each day. With travel time I could just accomplish this on a 30 day visa. My goal was to do that as often as God sends me, reaching out to other training centers and other opportunities that God provides. In between those trips I continued to prepare more lessons and worked in the small group ministry here in the McKinney area of Texas. I also enrolled at Collin County Community college in an attempt to learn some Chinese.
When one is willing to give themselves completely to God and walk by faith with Him daily, enjoying His presence, He will open doors and take you places and have you do things that you can hardly imagine and He will always provide all the resources needed to do the job He assigns to you and as you work together His peace and His joy will fill your heart. I know because I now have firsthand experience.
